TalkTube Guest Finder — Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how TalkTube Guest Finder ("the Extension") collects, uses, and protects data when you install and use the Extension. By installing the Extension, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Data We Collect
We collect the following data:
- Account Information: Your email address and password are used solely for authenticating your TalkTube account. Passwords are never stored by the Extension.
- Scan Data: When you run a scan, the Extension reads publicly visible Facebook posts from groups and pages you explicitly select. Post text is sent to TalkTube's backend for AI analysis to determine guest-match relevance. This data is processed in real-time and not retained after analysis.
- Settings: Your preferences (language, auto-comment settings, safety limits) are stored locally in your browser using chrome.storage. This data never leaves your device.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To authenticate your account and provide the service.
- To analyze Facebook posts using AI and return match scores and intent labels.
- To generate personalized interview request messages when you approve a candidate.
- To save candidates you explicitly approve to your TalkTube account for outreach tracking.
4. Data We Do NOT Collect
- Private Facebook messages
- Facebook password or login credentials
- Location or GPS data
- Browsing history outside of explicitly scanned Facebook pages
- Health, financial, or payment information
- Personal communications
- Keystroke logging or mouse activity
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal data to third parties. Data is only processed by TalkTube's own backend servers (staging.talktube.net) for the purposes described in this policy.
6. Facebook Data Usage
The Extension accesses only publicly visible Facebook content through your own logged-in browser session. It does not bypass Facebook's security, login requirements, CAPTCHA checks, or rate limits. All Facebook data is processed in compliance with Facebook's Platform Terms and Developer Policies.
7. Data Security
All communication between the Extension and TalkTube's servers is encrypted over HTTPS. Your authentication token is stored securely in chrome.storage and is never shared with third parties.
8. Data Retention
- Scan results (post text) are processed in real-time and not retained on our servers after analysis.
- Approved candidates are stored in your TalkTube account until you delete them.
- Settings are stored locally on your device and never leave your browser.
9. Your Rights
- You can disconnect your TalkTube account at any time from the Extension popup.
- You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting support.
- You can uninstall the Extension at any time, which removes all local data.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
